Culture
Naturally, there is more to South Tyrol than just the stunning landscape. You can also explore the local history and culture, going on sightseeing tours in our historical towns, or visiting one of the many museums. There are around 800 castles, fortresses and manors spread across our Province, and even more exciting opportunities for a journey back in time. If you are looking for a more action-packed kind of experience, we have that covered, too. Paragliding, rafting and canyoning tours, horse riding and high-ropes courses are just some of the options.
A winter of pure emotions
Discover first-hand what makes South Tyrol such a coveted destination for ski and winter holidays… The sun-drenched slopes of the Ratschings-Jaufen ski area offer all kinds of fun and adventure, while the cosy Alpine huts provide warmth, delicious local fare and a rustic ambience in which to recharge your energy tank after skiing or snowboarding your morning away. Last but not least, the perfectly groomed cross-country ski trails in the Ridnauntal valley offer a wonderful alternative for those who prefer to enjoy their snow away from the busy slopes. Winter lovers, snow junkies and connoisseurs all get their money’s worth on a skiing holiday in South Tyrol – and so do beginners and children, thanks to the Gasse ski lift right next to our hotel!
Speaking of alternatives… Other winter activities you can pursue in the area include winter hikes, snowshoe hikes and toboggan rides. All these experiences will reward you with a full immersion in a fantastic snowscape, as well as provide the perfect excuse to stop by in one of the many Alpine huts and give in to culinary temptations while swathed in a warm, authentic atmosphere.
